Narek Nazaryan, born on November 16, 1995, is an Armenian film editor, producer, and motion designer, the founder of DeFlick Production. Starting his career as a motion designer, Narek has honed his skills to make a notable presence in the industry. Early Life and Education Narek's educational journey at Tumo laid the foundation for his future professional endeavors. It was here that he not only gained insights into filmmaking but also delved into motion design, which later became an integral part of his career. Career Narek initiated his career in the creative industry as a motion designer, gradually expanding his interests and competencies towards film editing and production. In 2020, he particularly focused on mastering the art of trailer editing, enriching his projects with a new dimension. The establishment of DeFlick Production in 2022 marked a new chapter in his career, opening avenues for a variety of creative ideas in film production. In my work, I strive to replicate this process, guiding the viewer's attention to unfold the narrative as I envision it. The evolution of technology has undoubtedly expanded my creative horizons. Effects that once seemed unattainable are now within reach, allowing for greater experimentation and expression. Despite this, the heart of my work remains the story and the emotions it conveys. While some might argue that technology simplifies the creative process too much, I see it as a gateway to endless possibilities. The thrill lies in the exploration, the learning, and the constant drive to push boundaries while staying true to the essence of storytelling. In the end, despite the advancements in our tools, the art of film editing is about connecting with the audience on an emotional level.
